1984 – 1986   Activity Leader/Music Therapist, Georgia Mental Health Institute, Atlanta, Georgia.
Worked on the children’s unit and the youth’s unit with a team of doctors, nurses, social workers, and teachers.

1984 – 1988   Volunteer with Atlanta Hospice, Atlanta, Georgia
Created the music therapy program for home-bound Hospice patients. Music therapy retreat leader with Hospice staff and AIDS patients (part-time).

1991 – 1997   Director, St. Paul UMC Golden Age Center, Atlanta, Georgia
Supervised 60 older adults at the Center (half-time).

1997 – 1999   Music Therapist, Sunrise Retirement Home. Decatur, Georgia
Worked with memory-impaired senior adults using songs, musical instruments, and rhythm activities to spark memory and feelings (part-time).

Host of a weekly one-hour radio program for children and families using music and stories from around the world to entertain, inspire, and encourage character development in children. (Also, creator and producer of Turtle Radio programming).
